Gen 3 Toyota Vios XP150 gets another facelift for Vietnam

Like in the Philippines, the Toyota Vios has taken over the subcompact segment in Vietnam since its introduction in 2003. In just 19 years, it has sold more than 228,000 units, so it is not surprising that the Japanese automaker decided to refresh the third generation for the model year 2023.

Take note that just like us in the Philippines, Vietnam does not have the fourth-generation Vios yet. So if you're a customer eagerly awaiting the AC100 fourth gen Vios, what was updated is still the third gen XP150, so calm down and read on.

The Vietnam-spec Vios gets extensive updates. The body gets a stylish new grille, a reshaped rear bumper, and new milled six-spoke wheels. LED projector headlamps are now standard.

Inside, the 2023 Vios in Vietnam is refreshed for a new look and feel. It also gets a nine-inch floating infotainment screen with Bluetooth connectivity. The G variant gets gear paddles behind the steering wheel, and the rear has two additional charging ports.

But Vietnamese buyers will be happy (and safe) with the addition of Toyota Safety Sense to the G variant. It will now have Pre-Collision Warning (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), and seven airbags (G version), along with a suite of other features.

The newly launched 2023 Vios in Vietnam may not be the latest model from Toyota, but they've taken steps to enhanced the model with a new style, more tech, and more safety. That also indicates that Toyota in Vietnam might not be launching the AC100 within the year.
