Geely now accepting reservations for updated 2024 Coolray
Updated Geely Coolray now in the Philippines; launching 2nd week of September 2024

The Coolray crossover is one of the vehicles that made the Geely brand popular in the Philippine market. After five years, the new management of Geely is now getting ready to re-introduce the model with major changes both inside and out.
Geely Automobile International Corporation (GAIC) has announced the new Coolray is coming by the second week of September 2024, and dealerships are now accepting reservations.
The new Coolray sports a more prominent mesh-type grille with restyled side air inlets in the front, as well as new LED headlights that Geely calls “Energy Matrix”. At the back, the new Coolray gets thinner LED taillights and a light bar that runs through the entire width of the tailgate. The license plate holder has been repositioned lower to the bumper while the L-shaped reflectors also add to the Coolray’s revised look at the rear. Rounding up the changes outside are Tomahawk-style 18-inch wheels, plus a new color option called the Purple Prism.
Inside, the Coolray also gets a revised dashboard with a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel and a 12.3-inch HD touchscreen for infotainment, while the leather seats are finished in a new color motif.
Powering the 2024 Coolray is a new NordThor 1.5-liter, inline-four turbo engine that puts out 174 PS and 290 Nm of torque paired to a 7-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission. Geely says the new powerplant improves both performance and fuel efficiency, while the updated BMA platform promises a more refined ride.

While Geely Philippines did not include prices of the new Coolray in their announcement, some dealerships have already posted SRPs of the updated crossover and their initial variants. The Coolray Premium is priced at PHP 1,199,000 while the Coolray Sport is being offered for PHP 1,299,000.
