Foton PH lowers prices of 2023 Thunder, reveals new GTL truck variants
Foton launches new variants of the Thunder pickup and GTL heavy truck

Looking to buy a brand-new pickup truck for less? Foton Motor Philippines Inc (FMPI) may have what you're looking for as the Thunder pickup truck now starts at less than a million Pesos.
The 2023 Foton Thunder range now starts at Php 980,000 with the addition of the newly launched variant of the 4x2 EL M/T. This now serves as the entry-level version of the pickup truck. Also new is the 4x2 EL A/T which is available for PHP 1,050,000.

Up next is the Thunder 4x2 M/T which retails for PHP 1,080,000. If you prefer an automatic version of the Thunder, there's also the Thunder 4x2 A/T which now only sells for PHP 1,150,000 (previously sold for PHP 1.350M). A sportier-looking version of the pickup truck aptly named the Thunder 4x2 A/T Sports can also be yours for PHP 1,200,000. Last but not least is the Thunder 4x4 M/T which also received a price cut and is now selling for PHP 1,198,000 (used to sell for PHP 1.298M).

“With the new price positioning, we are looking forward to seeing more customers considering and availing of the new Thunder pickup as their 'modern-day workhorse'. This is an excellent opportunity for us to be able to offer a pickup truck as large, as durable and reliable, as easy to maintain, and as stylish as any modern pickup on the market today—but at a substantially more affordable price point. We now offer the most affordable range of pickups, whether you're looking for an entry-level, midrange, or top-of-the-line model,” said Levy Santos, General Manager of FMPI.

Like most other Foton models, the new Thunder is proudly assembled at the Foton plant in Clark, Pampanga. The new truck is powered by a new third-generation turbocharged 2.0-liter Aucan diesel engine generating 161 PS at 4,000 rpm and a torque rating of 390 Nm. It has a 1-ton payload capacity.
Other features present in the Thunder pickup include large LED taillamps, LED DRLs & fog lamps, and a large sporty grill bearing prominent Foton branding. Inside, it's available with a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat in stitched leather, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, and a 6-inch digital LCD instrument panel. For peace of mind, it also comes with an electronic stability program, a traction control system, hill-hold control, hill-descent control, and dual front airbags.
FOTON is also announcing new variants for its bestselling GTL line of trucks. The new variants and SRPs are as follows:
GTL 4X2 Tractor Head
2,600,000.00
GTL 6x4 Tractor Head

GTL 6X4 Dump Truck
