Foton eView could become the basis of Transvan EV for PH
The Foton eView makes 115 PS with 290 Nm of torque and has a range of around 280 km

We already know that Foton Motor Philippines Inc (FMPI) will be launching the Harabas EV and Transvan EV next year. This was confirmed by none other than FMPI General Manager Levy Santos who shared the news several days ago.
At the time, we had no idea of what to expect from the electric versions of the aforementioned vehicles. After doing some research, however, we managed to find some information about one of the upcoming EVs.

This is the Foton eView, and it looks like it might be the basis of the Transvan EV for the Philippine market. Immediately making the eView distinct from a regular Transvan are the blue accents that can be found throughout its body. It also has a closed-off grille since it doesn't have a turbo-diesel engine under its cab.

Powering the eView is a single electric motor that puts out a humble 115 PS along with 290 Nm of torque. It has a 50.23 kWh battery pack supplied by CATL which Foton claims gives the eView a range of around 280 km on a full charge.

Size-wise, the eView measures 5320mm long, 1695mm wide, 2280mm tall, and has a generous 3050mm wheelbase. In other markets, the eView is only available as a cargo van with up to 7.1 cubic meters of space. And since it doesn't have an engine, the traditional gear selector has been replaced by a button-style mechanism.
Do you think the Foton eView will become the basis of the Transvan EV for the PH market? Let us know in the comments.
