First units of all-new 2022 Suzuki Celerio has arrived
We could be just a few weeks away before the official launch of the all-new Celerio

After making its global debut in India last November, Suzuki's newest hatchback will be debuting in the Philippines real soon. Actually, the 2022 Suzuki Celerio has already started to arrive at local ports.
Thanks to photos sent by an anonymous source, we were able to get an up-close look at the upcoming five-door hatchback.
Now on its third generation, the humble hatchback is now bigger, gets a new look inside and out, as well as a new engine under the hood. Up front, the Celerio gets a new pair of headlights, a larger grille, a sportier-looking bumper with black cladding. It also gets what appears to be black alloy wheels, defined wheel arches, and creases on the doors.

Other specifics regarding the vehicle are still a mystery. However, our source indicated that the all-new hatchback is now sourced from Maruti. That means instead of Thailand, the 2022 Celerio will now come from India. Last but not least, it will be powered by a 1.0-liter K10C three-cylinder engine. In India, the engine makes a respectable 66 PS and 89 Nm of torque.

Once Suzuki officially launches the hatchback, the 2022 Celerio could come with features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a height-adjustable driver's seat, 60:40 split rear seats, and push-button engine start. When it comes to transmission options, it will most likely come with either a five-speed manual or a five-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) called Auto Gear Shift derived from the Dzire.
No launch date has been revealed yet for the 2022 Suzuki Celerio. But given that the first units have already arrived, we could be weeks away from the official debut. Heck, it may even be launched during the 2022 Manila International Auto Show this April.
