Ferrari Purosangue SUV to be launched Sept 2022
Ferrari wants you to add this to your wishlist as the "Ber" months start.

Ferrari has some big news. The famed Purosangue SUV, is throwing its hat in the SUV ring and is set to duke it out with the likes of the Lamborghini Urus and Porsche Cayenne and Macan?
Earlier reports of the Purosangue have surfaced and even some photos of the SUV on the factory line have been leaked. Based on the automaker's latest Capital Markets Day press release, the Purosangue is set for a global launch in September 2022.

The Purosangue will have a pure V12 naturally-aspirated engine. Dubbed as Ferrari’s most passionate engine, it is touted to bring several unique features. That makes Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna confident that the vehicle will exceed all customer expectations.
Aside from the engine, Ferrari will also include their innovative suspension system, Ferrari Active Suspension Technology aka FAST. It was developed by the Italian engineers to actively control and minimize body roll. This system can also lower the car, dropping its center of gravity to increase its ability to deliver high levels of lateral acceleration.
The FAST system will have full control of the car’s front and rear weight transfer too. This helps balance the SUV maximizing corner-exit traction and braking performance. Initial test on the hills around the factory shows it handles and performs like a sports car.

Ferrari also mentioned that by 2026, their product offering would consist of 40% ICE and 60% hybrid and full electric. The Italian supercar maker aims to also limit the Purosangue shipments. They are only targeting 20% of total annual deliveries. The brand continues to not use the term SUV by only saying the car will be unlike any other.
As the Purosangue will account for about 20% of all sales, it is assumed that the rest will be made up of the Icona series, plus a new hypercar model, which will make the Purosangue far more exclusive. There will also be a “special” series that will represent 10% of the total sales but the Italians have not divulged more information about it.
With the Purosangue on the horizon, Ferrari will be joining Lamborghini, Porsche, Aston Martin, Bentley, and Rolls-Royce in the list of luxury cart brands having their own SUV line. There are also talks that McLaren will also be following suit.
