Fernando Alonso selling his Ferrari Enzo, could fetch over $5 million
Comes with Ferrari Classiche Red Book and exclusive features like carbon-fiber seats, etc.

Care to own a slice of history and one fine piece of machinery? If you have $5.3 million (give or take), you have a racer’s chance of snagging this gorgeous sportscar once owned by a Formula 1 World Champion.
Aston Martin driver and two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso is selling his prized Ferrari Enzo – the first unit ever built – to the highest bidder at the Monaco Car Auctions as part of the L’AstaRossa auction. 41 other Ferrari models are going to be auctioned off, but Alonso’s unit surely stands out.

The unit is officially labeled ‘Scocca n.1,’ which translates to Body n.1, and an accompanying Ferrari Classiche Red Book will certify that fact. Another feature unique to Alonso’s Enzo is the carbon-fiber seats wrapped in black Alcantara with red stitching and red Prancing Horse logos on the headrests (all other models get racing seats with leather, cloth, or a combination of both).

Why is Alonso selling his one-off Ferrari Enzo? Maybe because he drives for the competition in Formula 1, or he has simply lost interest in it (it has only been driven for 4,800 kilometers). Either way, it is expected to fetch a hefty sum, making it the most valuable Enzo ever sold. How much? The auctioneer puts the number at $5.36 million or PHP 301.3 million.
Ferrari only made 400 Enzos, and the fact that this is Alonso’s, plus its exclusive equipment and the low mileage make it a highly coveted sports car.

The fact that it has a 6.0-liter naturally-aspirated V12 that sends 651 PS to the rear wheels via a six-speed automated manual transmission with paddle shifters takes a backseat to the provenance of this unit.
