Facelifted Chery Tiggo 7 Pro now in Indonesia; PH soon?
2023 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro in Indonesia gets slight exterior tweaks and an updated engine

The Tiggo 7 Pro for the PH market may only be a little over two years old, but Chery is not wasting time introducing updates to its compact five-seater crossover.

In Indonesia, Chery Motor has launched the refreshed Tiggo 7 Pro, featuring subtle tweaks to its exterior plus a power upgrade to its 1.5-liter turbo engine.
From the front, the “Sunshine Galaxy” grille has been slightly revised to feature less bling than the pre-facelift model. Instead, the grille is now surrounded by a chrome accent that also runs to the headlights. Speaking of which, Chery also redesigned the LED units. Meanwhile, the side intakes now have LED foglamps to go along with the DRLs, which are now placed vertically.

Aside from the changes in the front fascia, Chery also added a fender garnish that has the letter “T” in it, which likely stands for Tiggo. Round the back, the Chery badge has been removed from the LED light bar. Instead, the Tiggo 7 Pro has followed the Tiggo 8 Pro's style of having the letters “C H E R Y” on its tailgate.

Inside, the refreshed Chery Tiggo 7 Pro has retained most of its amenities, which include the 7-inch digital instrument panel, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports smartphone connectivity, as well as a digital climate control complete with rear vents.
The panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, LED ambient lighting, N95 cabin air filtration, power-adjustable front seats, multimedia and cruise control buttons on the steering wheel, and full-leather upholstery are still there, but now the vehicle's features can be operated via the Intelligent Voice Assistant.

Chery updated the Tiggo 7 Pro's 1.5-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine with an increase in both horsepower and torque. From 145 PS and 210 Nm, the refreshed model now has 155 PS and 230 Nm. The engine is still paired to a CVT with nine simulated gears that drive the front wheels.

In Indonesia, the full suite of Chery's Advance Driving Assists is available in the top-of-the-line Premium variant, which includes adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, front collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, 360-degree view monitor, lane departure warning, blind spot monitor, and reverse tendency alert – Chery's version of rear-cross traffic alert. Moreover, the top-spec variant gets six airbags, while the rest of the lineup has four.
As of now, Chery Auto Philippines has yet to announce any plans of introducing the refreshed Tiggo 7 Pro. But who knows? Maybe they could spring a surprise before the year ends, or even start next year with a fresher-looking Tiggo 7 Pro.
