Experience the Jaecoo J7 SHS at 2025 Auto Focus Test Drive Festival
Test drive the Jaecoo J7 Super Hybrid System from May 8 – 11 at the Auto Focus Test Drive Festival

After making its presence felt at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), the Jaecoo J7 with its Super Hybrid System (SHS) is now available for public test drives at this year's Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival.
For the first time in the country, the Jaecoo J7 SHS can be test-driven from May 8 - 11 at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds. Omoda & Jaecoo Philippines' participation in this year’s Auto Focus Festival will spotlight its unique, global Super Hybrid System, the technology that powers the J7's long-range capability and powerful performance.
The SHS powertrain pairs a 1.5T GDI turbocharged engine with a DHT hybrid transmission. When these components work in tandem, they can produce a combined power of 342 HP, a combined torque of 525 Nm, 44.5% thermal efficiency, and 98.5% electric drive efficiency.
The system makes use of six core technologies: Deep Miller Cycle, Intelligent High Efficiency Combustion (i-HEC), regenerative braking, and optimized power distribution, which allows the SHS to consume just 1.0 liter of fuel for every 100 kilometers. It also has an 18.3 kWh lithium-ion battery that charges quickly, powering up from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes via DC fast charging. Thanks to these features, motorists can maximize their time on the road without frequently stopping to refuel or recharge.

In a demonstration of its long-range capability, the Jaecoo J7 SHS garnered international recognition last April. The model underwent the Super Hybrid Marathon, which spanned the Philippines, Mexico, Thailand, Brazil, and other markets. During this cross-country marathon, the Jaecoo J7 SHS showed off its abilities to endure long-haul road trips and navigate various terrains, including gravel, mud, rivers, and grasslands. In fact, the model pulled off a combined range of 1,613.1 km in Mexico, setting a new global Super Hybrid Marathon record.
“With the first batch of Jaecoo J7 SHS set to arrive in the Philippines soon, we want to give Filipinos a glimpse into our industry-leading Super Hybrid System with this test drive opportunity. Our Super Hybrid System is a byproduct of our automotive engineering DNA. This powertrain underwent rigorous testing and development to achieve its long-range, high-performance, and high-safety capabilities,” Omoda Jaecoo in a statement.
Besides the J7 SHS, the Jaecoo EJ6, Omoda C5, and Omoda E5 are also available for test drives. Interested test drivers may register at the venue. Upon registration, guests must sign a liability waiver and attend a briefing on the safety procedures and test drive route.
