Aston Martin reveals 2018 Vanquish S Volante, gets more power under the hood

The Vanquish S is now officially available as a soft-top after the automaker recently released the new Vanquish S Volante. Apart from the fact that it's now a convertible, the Volante S also gets a slight exterior redesign and a more powerful V12.
Like the standard hardtop, the new Vanquish S Volante is made up of aluminum and carbon fiber. With this, the automaker said that it has a curb weight of only 1,739 kg as well as a distribution of 51-percent front and 49-percent rear. Equipped with a new carbon fiber splitter, it offers better stability at speed as well.

Apart from these, it also features rear diffuser designs, of which according to Aston Martin improves its iconic styling. It also rides on a 20-inch ten-spoke gloss black alloy wheels. The automaker also offers four different 20-inch wheel designs, more carbon fiber on the mirrors, exterior door release, contemporary paint palette and side strake.
Under the hood, it is powered by the same 6.0-liter V12, which has been uprated. Previously rated at 578 PS, the engine now produces an output of 608 PS. With this, the Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante can sprint of up to 97 km/h in only 3.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of 323 km/h. It is then matched with an updated eight-speed Touchtronic II transmission.

Other amenities include revamped inlet manifolds and quad exhaust tips.
