DPWH announces new EDSA rehab works schedule
Construction activities along EDSA will only be conducted from 10 PM to 4 AM daily, says DPWH

Following President Bongbong Marcos’ directive, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will proceed with the long-overdue rehabilitation of EDSA and has announced its scheduled work hours to minimize disruption to motorists.
The DPWH said construction activities will be conducted from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM to reduce traffic impact. From Monday to Friday, crews will focus on asphalt overlay works, while road reblocking activities will be carried out from Friday through Sunday within the same overnight window.
The DPWH has also released the schedule of ongoing road works along EDSA, covering asphalt overlay, rotomilling, and concrete reblocking activities on both northbound and southbound lanes.

Asphalt Overlay Works (Northbound)
From January 6 to 11, 2026, asphalt overlay works will be carried out from Magallanes to the Ayala Underpass, covering the second to fifth lanes, including the application of a second asphalt layer.
Rotomilling Works (Southbound)
January 6, 2026: From Scout Mariano to Aurora Boulevard (second to fourth lanes)
January 8 to 10, 2026: From Vanguard Academy to the Kalayaan Flyover (second to fourth lanes)
Rotomilling Works (Northbound)
January 7, 2026: From Aurora Boulevard to Apelo Cruz, affecting the third to fifth lanes
Concrete Reblocking Works (Northbound)
From January 9 to 12, 2026, concrete reblocking will be conducted along the northbound third lane from Roxas Boulevard to Taft Avenue.
Motorists are advised to take alternative routes to avoid delays. The DPWH also said it will release weekly updates on the repair schedule as rehabilitation works continue.
