DOTr warns against fake reps of PETC-PMVIC Authorization Committee
Committee that processes PETC-PMVIC faked by some individuals

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has issued a public advisory that only the department’s PETC-PMVIC Authorization Committee is authorized to process & issue permits, as well as documentation related to emission testing centers and motor vehicle inspection centers. This comes after reports that some individuals are posing as authorized persons on behalf of the committee.
The DOTr maintains that under Department Order 2023-001 and 2023-008, only the PETC-PMVIC Authorization Committee and its sub-committees are authorized to process documents such as application, renewal, authorization, suspension, and other related matters in connection with the legitimate operation of a Private Emission Testing Center (PETC) and Private Motor Vehicle Inspection Center (PMVIC).

As such, no other persons or entities are authorized beyond the PETC-PMVIC Authorization Committee and its sub-committees.
The DOTr further said that individuals who impersonate or claim to be authorized by the agency will face administrative and criminal charges.
The public is advised to immediately report individuals or entities who claim to be part or representatives of the PETC-PMVIC Authorization Committee; or offer assistance in PETC-PMVIC matters in exchange for money to frpetc@dotr.gov.ph, pmvic@dotr.gov.ph, petcpmvic.monitoring@dotr.gov.ph.
