DOTr revokes Taxihub franchise, driver's license over viral video
Abusive and opportunistic taxi drivers, be warned

Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon has ordered the immediate suspension and eventual revocation of the driver’s license of a Taxihub Transport driver caught on video overcharging a passenger at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). This swift action signals the start of a broader nationwide crackdown on abusive taxi services operating in the country’s airports and seaports.
Secretary Dizon’s directive comes in response to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s instruction to ensure fair charges for all passengers. During a recent press briefing, Dizon ordered the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to launch operations targeting exploitative taxi drivers.

“Under the order of the President himself, I am directing LTO and LTFRB to conduct operations at our airports, specifically at NAIA, against these taxis that prey on our countrymen and tourists so we can catch all of them,” Secretary Dizon stated. He specifically cited the viral incident, noting, “Between [NAIA] Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, over a thousand pesos—PHP 1,200—that’s nonsense. That’s abuse!”
Adding to the penalties, the Transportation Secretary also ordered the revocation of the franchise for all 15 taxi units of Taxihub Transport, after discovering their franchise had expired in March.
“All those operating, all operators, you have a franchise to provide service, but you also have a responsibility. If you violate it, there will be corresponding punishment,” Dizon warned, adding that appropriate charges would be filed against Taxihub Transport operator, Paige Pauline Bersamina.
