Dongfeng E70 Pro EV aims to revolutionize PH taxi service
With a claimed 420 kilometer range in one full charge and operating cost savings

Dongfeng Motors Philippines (DMP), through Legado Motors Incorporated (LMI), has officially launched the E70 Pro electric vehicle, specifically targeting the Transportation Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) sector. This new EV promises significant savings, enhanced reliability, and impressive range, directly addressing the core needs of ride-hailing operators.

Savings
Positioned as China’s leading taxi, the Dongfeng E70 Pro is now being introduced in the Philippines with a compelling value proposition. LMI asserts that fleet taxi and TNVS operators could realize substantial savings of up to PHP 19,585,000 over five years by deploying 25 E70 Pro units.
LMI illustrates the E70 Pro’s efficiency by claiming an impressive PHP 47.00 in operating cost savings compared to a standard gasoline sedan. This calculation is based on an electricity rate of PHP 13.00/kWh and unleaded gasoline at PHP 60.00/liter, with the E70 Pro consuming just 1 kWh for every 6-7 kilometers traveled.

Over a five-year period, or roughly 100,000 kilometers, a single Dongfeng E70 Pro unit can save its owner close to PHP 785,000 in fuel expenses alone. As mentioned above, extending this to a fleet operating 25 E70 Pro units could translate to nearly PHP 20,000,000 in total savings for fleet operators over the same five-year timeframe.
Features
LMI claims that the new E70 Pro can travel up to 420 kilometers in a single charge. That’s more than enough to cover the distance should you travel from Manila to Vigan, in just one charge.
Under the hood sits a permanent magnet synchronous motor that draws power from a 55.99 kWh ternary lithium battery. LMI claims that this motor has a power output equivalent to 161 PS and 230 Nm of torque.

Other features include a fully digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment display with smartphone connectivity, synthetic leather seats, an electronic parking brake, dual front airbags, front and rear disc brakes with ABS, 17-inch alloy wheels, traction control, hill-start assist, parking sensors, reverse camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
The new Dongfeng E70 Pro is now available with an SRP of PHP 1,198,000. It also comes with a wall-mounted charger and an 8-year/170,000 km battery warranty (whichever comes first).
