Discaya’s Rolls-Royce has a new owner, wins bid by PHP 867.42 margin
This "RR" Cullinan of the Discayas has a new owner

In November last year, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) auctioned off several luxury vehicles seized from Curlee and Sarah Discaya, who are accused of amassing substantial wealth through allegedly questionable DPWH projects.
Among the most sought-after units were two Mercedes-Benz G63 SUVs. Both vehicles were ultimately acquired by the same bidder, Simplex Industrial Corporation, which offered PHP 15,611,710.00 for the AMG variant and PHP 15,500,000.00 for the Brabus version.
The Bureau of Customs (BOC) conducted another public auction yesterday, with the Rolls-Royce Cullinan emerging as the highlight of the bidding. Previously offered at PHP 45,314,391.11 in an earlier auction, the luxury SUV was the only vehicle successfully sold this time around.
The Cullinan carried a floor price of PHP 29,025,132.58. Igorot Stone Kingdom, Inc. secured the winning bid at PHP 29,026,000, clinching the vehicle by a slim margin of just PHP 867.42 above the minimum price.

In contrast, several other high-end vehicles failed to attract any bidders and were subsequently declared under failed bidding by the BOC. These included a 2024 Lincoln Navigator (PHP 8,642,319.86), 2022 GMC Yukon Denali (PHP 6,759,673.35), 2021 Cadillac Escalade (PHP 7,747,289.21), 2022 Maserati Levante Modena (PHP 4,091,916.72), 2022 GMC Yukon Denali XL (PHP 6,759,673.35), 2022 Cadillac Escalade ESV (PHP 8,278,445.48), and a 2022 Bentley Bentayga (PHP 11,103,040.30).
Two Bugatti Chirons—one a 2017 model priced at PHP 149,947,621.44 and another a 2019 model listed at PHP 160,434,633.60—also drew no offers during the bidding process.
With only the Cullinan sold, the BOC reported that the auction generated a total of PHP 29,041,150 in revenue, which will be remitted to the government treasury.
