Diesel-powered 2025 Mercedes-Benz G 450d now in PH
The G-Class 450d will start at PHP 16.99 million

Most luxury automakers nowadays may be shifting away from diesel power due to electrification. But for Mercedes-Benz, there will always be room for a proper turbo-diesel engine, especially for the revered G-Class.

For the 2025 model year, Mercedes-Benz Philippines has officially revealed the refreshed G-Class. The boxy 4x4 SUV still looks relatively the same as before as the automaker decided to only make subtle changes. This can be seen in the new LED headlights, a redesigned front bumper and lower air intake, and a more stylish front grille.
Also worth mentioning are new 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels that feature a unique finish. The new wheels give the G-Class a more Maybach-like appearance thanks to the avant-garde design. Other changes present on the exterior are the updated LED taillights and a cleaner rear bumper.

Under the hood, the G 450d comes with a 3.0L turbo-diesel inline-six dubbed the OM 656. It's assisted by an integrated starter generator which provides an extra 20 PS and 200 Nm of torque. The result is a total system output of 367 PS and 750 Nm of pull. Power is then sent to the wheels via a 9-speed G-Tronic automatic gearbox.

Other details about the Mercedes-Benz G 450d remain a mystery. But for those who really want to get their hands on one, you better have your checkbook at the ready because prices start at a steep PHP 16.99 million.
