2024 DFSK Candy enters mini EV segment and offers up to 220 km of range

DFSK Philippines is ready to compete in the electrified vehicle market as they held the launch of their midsize PHEV called the E5. But aside from that, DFSK has also shown they have a treat for those looking for a mini EV.
The brand has launched the 2024 DFSK Candy – a 4-seater city car with a good EV range, a spacious cabin that seats four, and a generous amount of interior features.

Size-wise, the pint-sized Candy mini EV measures 3030mm long, 1495mm wide, 1640mm tall, and a 1960mm wheelbase. it also has a ground clearance of 135mm.

On the outside, the funky-looking Candy mini EV’s diminutive size goes with pastel color choices that make it attractive for young individuals. For its exterior equipment, the Candy gets LED daytime running lights and 13” alloy wheels.
Step inside and the Candy welcomes you with a dual-screen setup for its dashboard, while there’s decent space for four occupants with all seats up. Meanwhile, for interior versatility, the rear seats can fold in a 50:50 split and offer up to 843 liters of cargo space.

The Candy has a 16.8 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePo) battery that powers a rear-mounted electric motor that puts out 41 PS and 100 Nm of torque to the rear wheels. This combination offers up to 220 km of range using the CLTC cycle.

In terms of charging, the Candy mini EV has a Type 2 connector plug that’s commonly used in most EV charging stations in the country. It takes around 4 to 4.5 hours for the Candy to recharge from 10% to 90% state of charge (SoC) using a 3.3 kW AC charger.

Despite its position as an entry-level EV, the DFSK Candy comes with features such as cruise control, and a rear view camera with sensors. For safety, the mini EV has dual airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX anchors, ABS + EBD, a hill start assist, and a DVR camera as standard.
The 2024 DFSK Candy retails for PHP 658,000.
