Coolray Killer: 2023 GAC GS3 starts at PHP 998k
GAC Philippines will expand its vehicle lineup with 2023 GS3

Remember when GAC opened the New Year by launching an all-new crossover? Well, they aren't done yet. A few months back, a very reliable source told us that another one will be coming to the Philippines this year. Today, GAC distributor Astara Philippines announces that they will be launching the 2023 GS3.
Confirmed today by Jun Cajayon, brand head of GAC Motor PH, the all-new crossover will sit below the GS4 and Emkoo and will serve as the brand’s entry-level (albeit stylish) crossover complete with a generous equipment list. The launch also marks the first overseas launch of the all-new GS3.

The range will start with the entry-level GS at PHP 998,000. Next is the mid-range GB which will retail for 1.098 million. Last but not least is the range-topping GL which will have a sticker price of PHP 1.198 million.
Like the vehicle we first saw back in January, the all-new GS3 will feature an unmistakable look that appears to have been inspired by the digital world of Cyberpunk 2077. With a host of sharp lines, muscular curves, and an aggressive stance, the 2023 GS3 shows off what it has and is not shy to flaunt it.

It also has a distinct front fascia dubbed by GAC as the “Armor Wing” face which they say was inspired by a motorcycle helmet. It is then accompanied by a pair of LED headlights that accentuate the GS3’s sporty-looking face. Other key features seen in the GS3 include flush door handles, a unique set of LED taillights, and stylish alloy wheels.
Engine details are not yet confirmed but it will supposedly share the 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with the Emkoo. That means we can expect a power output of 177 PS and 270 Nm of torque. Power goes to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox that drives the front wheels.
Reservations for the 2023 GAC GS3 are now open across authorized dealerships. The official launch will take place on June 30, 2023.
