Confirmed: Go-anywhere Jetour T-2 is coming to PH
After X70, X70 Plus, Ice Cream EV, and Dashing, Jetour Auto PH's newest vehicle will be the T-2

During the 2023 Manila International Auto Show, Jetour Auto Philippines (a sub-brand of Chery International Group of Companies) impressed show-goers with their initial lineup of vehicles. The X70 serves as their most affordable turbocharged 7-seat crossover while the X70 Plus is the posher and plusher version.
Next is the Ice Cream EV which is the brand’s sole EV offering as well as the most affordable vehicle. Last but not least is the Dashing which is actually the brand’s flagship vehicle but retails at just PHP 1.329 million and comes with the latest gizmos and features.
Jetour Auto PH Managing Director Miguelito “Lito” Jose shared with us that during MIAS 2023, the Dashing was the vehicle that received the most attention as there were plenty of people lined up to get a reservation.

In the coming months, however, the automaker will be bringing another model and this one could get more attention than the brand's initial lineup. It’s the Jetour T-2 (called T-1 in the PRC) and it’s coming sooner than you think.
According to Bart Wang, Deputy General Manager for Jetour International, the T-2 is set to arrive in the Philippines as early as September. Wang, who was also present during MIAS 2023 and at Auto Shanghai 2023, said that the launching of the T-2 is part of the company’s plan to bring in a new model to the Philippines every six months.

While no exact specifics of the T-2 are available just yet for the Philippine market, we could expect the T-2 to come with a turbocharged engine. One of the likeliest candidates is a 1.5-liter turbocharged plug-in hybrid. Another possible engine that could make its way to the PH-spec T-1 is a 1.6-liter direct-injection turbo four-cylinder.
No exact figures have been revealed yet, although all of the powertrains are connected to a 4WD system to allow drivers to go offroad. Transmission options, on the other hand, include a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox or an 8-speed automatic.

With the all-new Jetour T-2 set to arrive in Q3 later this year, Jetour Auto Philippines’ early buzz with car buyers will likely help the automaker generate additional hype for the upcoming T-2.

With its Bronco/Defender-like looks, sleek and smart cabin, the possibility of a turbocharged hybrid engine under the hood, and 6-year warranty coverage, the Jetour T-2 could also become one of the brand’s most popular models once it’s revealed.
