Confirmed: BMW i5 Touring EV wagon teased
Aside from the regular sedan version, a wagon body style will also be available for the BMW i5

Last year, BMW officially revealed the all-new 5 Series. Now on its 8th generation, the executive sedan not only gets a sleeker look but is now available as an all-electric vehicle. Aptly called the i5, the electric luxury four-door is available with up to nearly 600 PS on tap and can travel up to nearly 580 km on a single charge.
At the time of its release, the BMW i5 was only available as a sedan. However, BMW has just confirmed that the all-electric i5 will also come in a wagon body style. That's right, the German automaker will also be offering a long-roof version of the i5 EV soon.

Shared on their Instagram page recently, the upcoming i5 Touring is set to be launched soon. BMW is not yet ready to fully reveal what it looks like but based on the reel they shared, it could look similar to the M5 Touring, albeit not as aggressive.
No other details have been shared yet by BMW. However, the i5 Touring could come with similar powertrain options as the regular i5. That means it might be available with the eDrive40 and the M60 xDrive electric powertrains. The former puts out 340 PS with 400 Nm of torque while the latter generates 598 PS and a hefty 795 Nm of pull. Both are paired with an 84.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which gives the eDrive40 a range of up to 582 km while the M60 xDrive gets up to 516 km of range.

With BMW confirming there will be two body styles available for the i5, which one would you pick, the i5 Touring or the i5 Sedan? You can also check out our first drive of the all-new BMW 5 Series (and i5) in Portugal.
