CLLEX to reach Aliaga, Nueva Ecija by first half of 2023
Additional 7-km segment along CLLEX to be completed next year

Last year, the Department of Public Works & Highways (DPWH) officially opened the first 18-km section of the toll-free Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX). With it, motorists can now travel from Tarlac City in Tarlac to the intersection of Aliaga-Guimba Road in Aliaga, Nueva Ecija.

But with a total length of 30 km for its first phase, there is still some work to be done along CLLEX. Fortunately, the DPWH is making good progress on the remaining segments of the toll-free expressway. This comes after DPWH Senior Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain reported that the agency is currently working on the completion of an additional 7 km segment.
The new section will link the Guimba-Aliaga Road intersection segment to the San Juan Interchange – extending the expressway from 18 kilometers to 25 kilometers. Both the DPWH and its contractors have worked through challenges such as bad weather, right-of-way issues, and the difficulty of transporting materials to the construction site.

Aside from the aforementioned 7-km segment that will reach Aliaga, Nueva Ecija by the first half of 2023, the DPWH is also busy constructing three interchanges; namely Zaragoza, Aliaga, and San Juan that will allow motorists from the secondary and provincial roads to access CLLEX.

Once completed, the 30-km CLLEX Project will allow for fast, safe, comfortable, and reliable means of transport in Central Luzon. It will also serve as an important east-to-west link for the expressway region network of Region 3 to ensure seamless traffic flow for motorists traveling from Metro Manila and vice versa passing through NLEX, SCTEX, and TPLEX.
