Citroen My Ami is the Smart car for the dolomite
Citroen My Ami Buggy sold out like a limited-edition sneaker

We just found the perfect beach patrol car.
Believe it or not, electric microcars like the Citroen My Ami are a popular choice when it comes to urban mobility in Europe. Electric microcars are almost as small as bikes, so they're perfect for congested city streets. Plus, these tiny vehicles still offer the comfort of a car, not to mention they are electric so you don't get fuel bills.

So when the French manufacturer opened the order books for this limited-edition My Ami Buggy, the 50 units were spoken for in less than 20 minutes.
That's right. The car was sold out in just 17 minutes and 28 seconds. At that pace, the My Ami Buggy was snapped up like a limited-edition sneaker. Eager French buyers reserved online, with customer number one completing the process in just 2 minutes and 53 seconds.

While it does look like a glorified country club golf cart, the My Ami Buggy does have the usual car features inside like a digital speedometer, cupholders, and even USB ports for your smartphone charging needs. In addition, the microcar doesn't have a head unit, but it has enough storage space at the top of the dashboard to place a boombox and play the Baywatch theme song.
As for its propulsion, the My Ami Buggy is powered by an 8-horsepower electric motor connected to a 5.5kWh battery, giving the microcar a top speed of 45 km/h and an electric range of 75 kilometers.

Meanwhile, a tubular frame serves as the microcar's doors, but Citroen included a clip-on waterproof fabric cover just in case there's a hint of rain. And to top it off, the My Ami Buggy rolls on a set of 14-inch steel rims painted in gold.
Unfortunately, the Citroen My Ami Buggy is not being offered in the Philippines, and neither does the standard Ami that looks like a Little Tikes toy for grownups. But do you think microcars would make sense here? Let us know in the comments.
