Chevy celebrates Corvette's 70th birthday with special edition
In celebration of the Corvette's 70th anniversary, Chevrolet reveals 70th Anniversary Edition Pack for C8

2023 will be a special year for the Chevrolet Corvette because America's supercar will be celebrating its 70th anniversary. You read right, Chevrolet’s very popular performance car has been in production since 1953 and has spanned a total of eight generations.
In order to commemorate the Corvette’s platinum anniversary, the bow-tie has announced that it will be releasing special 70th Anniversary Edition packages for the Corvette C8. To be available in both the Z06 and the Stingray, the special package will come with bespoke colors, sporty exterior stripes, as well as unique interior upgrades.

“Passion for Corvette runs deep at Chevrolet and this anniversary is extra special because of the excitement and sales success we’ve achieved with the eighth generation of America’s iconic sports car. Even after 70 years, Corvette still makes hearts race and kids dream of the open road,” said Steve Majoros, vice president at Chevrolet Marketing.
All 70th Anniversary Edition Corvettes will stand out in one of two exterior colors unique only to this package; White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat and Carbon Flash Metallic. In addition, optional stripes will also be available and will come in Satin Gray (for White Pearl Metallic) and Satin Black (for Carbon Flash Metallic).
Complementing the special paint and strip combo are distinct alloy wheels with commemorative center caps. While the Stingray and Z06 will each have their own wheel designs, both will share a similar dark finish and Edge Red stripe.

Other key exterior features that will be present on the special edition C8 include 70th Anniversary Edition badges, special Corvette cross flags complete with the 70th Anniversary logo, and Edge Red-painted brake calipers.
Inside the special edition Corvette, drivers will find two-tone Ceramic Leather GT2 or Competition Sport Seats inside the 70th Anniversary Corvette C8. There will also be red contrast stitching, red seatbelts, and suede microfiber seat inserts and steering wheel, along with 70th Anniversary Edition logos on the seats, steering wheel, and door sill plates.
As an added bonus, Chevy will even have custom luggage set with red stitching that comes with the 70th Anniversary Edition logo.

The special edition package for the Corvette C8 will be available once production starts later this year for the 2023 model year. These will include the Corvette Stingray 3LT, as well as the Z06 3LZ coupe and convertible models.
But what about customers that will only get a regular C8 Corvette? Not to worry as Chevrolet also said that all 2023 Corvettes not equipped with the 70th Anniversary Edition package, will feature a commemorative 70th-anniversary interior plaque located on the center speaker grille, and a graphic imprinted on the lower rear window.
With the Corvette C8 now in the Philippines, we’re certainly hoping that Chevrolet distributor The Covenant Car Company Inc (TCCCI) will be able to bring several examples of the 70th Anniversary Edition to the country later this year or starting next year.
