Chevrolet Spin diesel yields 35 km/l during local run
Chevy, Roadwise and the AAP conducted fuel economy run for the upcoming Spin MPV diesel.

The Chevrolet Spin is coming very soon, and it seems Chevy Philippines conducted a fuel economy test of the diesel variant of the Spin.
Driven by the guys at Roadwise and observed by the Automobile Association Philippines, the Spin LTZ with the 75 PS, 190 Nm 1.3L turbodiesel and the manual transmission completed a 119 kilometer run on the NLEX and SCTEX and yielded a consumption of just 3.4 liters.
After a quick check, the Spin LTZ diesel achieved a 35 kilometer per liter fuel economy figure. Driving styles and conditions will vary, but that benchmark run has set the bar quite high. The Spin (seen here) was being driven by rally driver Vip Isada of Roadwise.
During our test drive of the 1.5L gasoline-powered Chevrolet Spin LTZ A/T variants from Bangkok to Rayong, Thailand last month, the compact MPV was doing 14.9 kilometers to the liter at an average speed of 87.4 km/h.
The Spin will be launched soon, and will be the only compact MPV to have a diesel engine. The Spin LTZ 1.3L Diesel M/T will have an introductory price of PhP 798,888.
