Chery Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV e+ quietly added to lineup
Chery Auto Philippines makes Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV e+ the new flagship model

Chery Auto Philippines under distributor United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI) has stealthily added the Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV e+ to its local lineup as its new flagship model.

Chery's updated flagship model carries on the success and technology advancements of the Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV model with the addition of Intelligent Voice Command, Smart Power Tailgate, Ventilated Driver and Passenger Seats, Wireless Mobile Charger, and a full 12-feature ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) suite. These are; Rear Cross Traffic Assist (RCTA), Blind Sport Detection (BSD), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Door Opening Warning (DOW), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Traffic Jam Alert (TJA), Integrated Cruise Assist (ICA), Intelligent High Beam Control (IHC), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR).
The Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV e+ is powered by a 1.5-liter i-HEC turbo four-cylinder that makes 155 PS at 5500 rpm and 230 Nm of torque at 1750 to 4000 RPM. It's helped by dual electric motors which produce a maximum torque of 545 Nm, and boasts a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.6 seconds. In full-electric mode, it can go up to 75 kilometers (NEDC).
Mated to the powertrain is Chery's in-house developed full-featured DHT hybrid transmission. The DHT has three gear ratios which intelligently work together with the engine and its dual motor setup with each powertrain able to function independently. With most hybrids having their engine intervention set at 60 km/h, Chery says its engine can intervene at a minimum of 20km/h, better meeting the full power demands of low speed, medium speed, and high speed, to give a more seamless adaptation to driving conditions. It also has 9 driving modes such as single/dual motor drive, range extension, parallel connection, and direct engine drive, as well as 11 gear combinations, thus providing a full-scene driving experience.
The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV e+ retails for Php 2,698,000.
