Chery International celebrates Tiggo 5 reaching 1 million export unit milestone

The Chery Tiggo family celebrated a historic milestone as the Tiggo 5 (also called as TIGGO 4 in other markets) marked the export of its one-millionth unit at Dalian Port, China.
The event was attended by key leaders from the Dalian Free Trade Zone (Bonded Area), senior executives from Chery, as well as global partners, users, and media representatives, all gathering to witness this remarkable achievement.

Since its global debut in 2018, the Chery Tiggo 5 has captured the hearts of young consumers in over 70 countries and regions, thanks to its exceptional product quality and precise market positioning. As one of Chery’s flagship “global models”, it has played a pivotal role in strengthening the brand’s international presence. In 2025, Tiggo 5 is set to enter the European market, marking a significant step forward in its journey to compete in the global automotive arena.
The exceptional strength of the Tiggo 5 series has not only driven its sales to surpass one million units rapidly but has also garnered widespread acclaim in the form of numerous prestigious industry awards. Recently, the Australian version of Tiggo 5X Pro earned a five-star safety rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP), highlighting its outstanding safety performance.

The vehicle achieved high scores of 88%, 87%, and 85% in Adult Occupant Protection, Child Occupant Protection, and Safety Assist, respectively. Notably, it achieved full marks in both the Side Impact and Far-Side Impact tests, further demonstrating its safety excellence. Additionally, the renowned Australian automotive media outlet DRIVE honored the Tiggo 5 Pro with the title of “Car of the Year 2024”. These accolades not only underscore the high recognition of the Tiggo 5 series’ product quality but also serve as compelling evidence of its continuous progress in the global market.
“The successful export of one million Tiggo 5 units is a testament to the trust and support of our global users. As we stand at this new milestone, we remain dedicated to our technology-driven philosophy. By leveraging our world-class R&D, quality assurance, and sales and service systems, we will continue to deliver exceptional vehicles to users worldwide.”
