Chery Auto PH to launch facelifted Tiggo 2, Tiggo 5X Pro at PIMS 2024?
It looks like Chery's most affordable crossovers might get another sleek refresh

We're only several weeks away from the 2024 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) and some automakers have already released teasers about their upcoming reveals. From Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, and Honda, brands are gearing up for one heck of an auto show later this October.

Chery Auto Philippines is also joining the teaser bandwagon. The automaker recently released a teaser image of two crossovers that will make their official debut at the World Trade Center on October 24. As of this writing, Chery has yet to elaborate on what exactly they will be launching at PIMS 2024. But based on the thinly veiled vehicles, we already have a good idea of what to expect.
Starting with the mystery crossover on the left, the automaker could hold the reveal of the refreshed Tiggo 5X Pro (also called the Tiggo Pro 4 in other markets). Despite the brand's best efforts to mask the grille and LED headlight designs, this particular crossover looks just like the one we saw in Wuhu back in April. It received a Tiggo 7 Pro-like facelift thanks to the sleeker LED headlights, large octagon-shaped grille with diamond-like inserts, and the redesigned bumper.

Over to the other mystery crossover on the right, it appears Chery might also debut the heavily updated Tiggo 2 Pro. It gets a more aggressive redesign thanks to a unique grille that appears to connect with the stylish LED daytime running lights seamlessly. The result is a very distinct-looking crossover that looks more upmarket despite being a budget crossover.

Chery was also busy giving the interior a makeover it adopts a new center console with a redesigned gear selector, a more high-tech touchscreen infotainment system, and a redesigned center stack with a bigger push-button start. It also has leather seats with contrast stitching, piano black accent finishes, and LED ambient lighting.

Should Chery Auto Philippines actually reveal the two updated crossovers at PIMS 2024, the automaker will have a pair of affordable yet stylish subcompact crossover SUVs that could give other brands something to think about.
