Chery Auto Philippines set a new monthly sales milestone last May with 323 units sold and gained a top 10 ranking in the passenger vehicle market based on the latest data reported by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI).
In addition, the 323 unit sales logged by Chery in May translates to a 51% increase from its total sales of 214 units in April. The increase in sales was mainly brought about by the automaker's sales drivers: the Tiggo 5x and Tiggo 7 Pro. Chery also achieved a positive growth of 2.4% year-on-year as total sales have reached 1,286 units.
This year, Chery aims to aggressively move forward in reinforcing its presence in the Philippine automotive industry by offering crossovers with outstanding value for money as defined by stylish exteriors, high-technology, eco-friendly, and top quality that caters to the diverse needs of the Filipino car buyers.
“This record-breaking sales for the month of May and our positive year-on-year sales growth mark the start of Chery’s more aggressive approach to taking the brand to the next level. We are committed to establish Chery as one of the top brands chosen by the discerning Filipino car buyers,” said Rommel Sytin, Chairman of United Asia Automotive Group Inc (UAAGI).
“As we continue to build on the brand’s strength in aftersales service, expect us to further strengthen our sales, marketing, network expansion, and product development efforts to ensure Chery’s success in the coming months and years,” added Sytin.
With Chery Auto PH’s recent significant sales performance, the company is well on its way to achieving this objective to stay and make a mark in the Philippine automotive market for the long haul.
