Changan PH to finally launch S7 EV this year?
LTO releases homologation documents for Changan S7 electric vehicle

Changan PH has made it clear that they are set to diversify their model lineup in the country this year. The brand has confirmed that come MIAS 2025, they are introducing 4 electrified models powered by three different new energy vehicle technologies.
While Changan has already hinted at bringing in the A05 PHEV sedan and the Q05 PHEV, their battery-electric vehicle could be something that we’ve already seen before – we’re talking about the Changan S7 EV that was previewed at the brand’s relaunch under Inchcape Philippines in late 2023.

In fact, there’s more reason to believe this could finally be it for the S7. The Land Transportation Office has already released homologation documents for the electric crossover, and could come in two variants – the 520 Max, and the 620 Max.
As the variant suggests, the 620 Max could serve as the long-range version of the S7. According to the LTO document, the S7 620 Max’s lithium ternary (NMC) battery gives the crossover a range of up to 620 km on a single charge.

In terms of power output, the S7’s single motor setup makes 218 PS and 320 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the 520 Max interestingly offers a shorter range of 520 km, but more power at 258 PS.
At more than 4.7 meters long, the S7 is closer in size to the BYD Sealion 6 than the Atto 3. But despite its length, the crossover is still a 5-seater. Furthermore, the S7 is part of Changan’s Deepal sub-brand, which means the crossover was built under a dedicated EV/EREV platform.
The 2025 Manila International Auto Show is less than a month away. But until then, watch this space for further updates about Changan’s potential lineup for MIAS.
