Car collector, racer Charlie Cojuangco passes away
Tarlac congressman Charlie Cojuangco has passed away

It is a sad day for the Philippine car community. Avid car collector and racing driver Charlie Cojuangco has passed away at the age of 58.
News of Charlie’s passing was announced by his wife, China Jocson, through a Facebook post. He is the son of the former San Miguel Chairman Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco, who also passed away two years ago.
No other information about his death was provided. Details of the wake and interment will be announced later. However, a few months ago, he suffered an aneurysm while on the race track and underwent surgery thereafter.
Charlie was very active in the Philippine car community, participating in various motorsports events throughout the years. Some of his racing stints include the TRS Cup, Vios Cup, and more recently, the Giti-Formula V1 series. He also owns a vast collection of sports cars, classics, and luxury vehicles.
Outside of the cars, Charlie was a congressman representing the 1st District of Tarlac. He was seeking reelection before being substituted by his son Jaime Diaz Cojuangco.
