CALAX Silang Interchange to open before 2022 ends
Will serve as an alternate exit for motorists heading to Tagaytay via Aguinaldo Highway

Despite the pandemic and the rainy season, it's business as usual for MPCALA Holdings Inc. as they complete the remaining sections of the Cavite Laguna Expressway (CALAX).
In its latest update, the CALAX is set to finish a major milestone as it eyes the opening of the upcoming Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange in the latter part of 2022. As of last week, the 3.9 km section is already 56% complete. Part of the ongoing works includes drainage and bridge constructions, excavation and roadway earthworks, as well as fence installation and coco net.
“The Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange will help decongest the busiest highway in the province of Cavite, the 41 km Emilio Aguinaldo Highway. Motorists from Manila going to the famous tourist destinations of Silang and Tagaytay, Cavite will surely benefit from this upcoming project as it offers convenience and shorter travel time,” said Raul L. Ignacio, president and general manager of MPCALA Holdings Inc.

Once the Silang Interchange is complete and operational, it will serve as a convenient alternate exit for CALAX motorists coming from Metro Manila that are heading to Tagaytay City. The upcoming interchange is only 16 km away from the city proper of Tagaytay via Aguinaldo Highway and the travel time will only be around 20 minutes.
Currently, the open segment of CALAX spans 14.24 km and consists of the following interchanges; Greenfield-Mamplasan, Laguna Technopark, Laguna Boulevard, Santa-Rosa Tagaytay, and Silang East. The other interchanges namely Open Canal, Governor's Drive, and Kawit are targeted to be completed by 2023. Upon completion of the entire project, the 45-km CALAX will connect to the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) in Kawit, Cavite.
With just a few months to go before 2022 ends, we are holding MPCALA Holdings Inc. to their word that they'll finish the Silang Interchange before the New Year.
