CALAX Silang Aguinaldo segment is now 80% complete
MPT South says the Silang Interchange section along CALAX is nearing completion

Motorists that usually drive along the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) may soon be able to travel from Laguna to Aguinaldo Highway in Silang, Cavite (and back) sometime next month.
This comes after the Metro Pacific Tollways (MPT South) recently announced the state of progress of the soon-to-open Subsection 4 of CALAX, AKA Silang (Aguinaldo).
According to the tollway operator, Subsection 4 is currently at 80% completion which means work on the 3.9-km segment is just about done. Once completed, the new segment will provide a crucial connection to Aguinaldo Highway in Cavite. In addition, this development will greatly enhance travel convenience between the town of Silang and Tagaytay – allowing motorists to reach their destinations faster.
Aside from that, MPT South is also making sure that the segment will follow the company's vision for environmental safety, sustainable tourism, as well as having green technology. Like the currently operating sections of CALAX, Subsection 4 will also have solar panels on its toll plaza which generates power for the plaza's operations. Moreover, it has LED light fixtures on the roadway to enhance energy efficiency, as well as offset carbon emissions.
Speaking of offsetting carbon emissions, MPT South is also actively involved in planting trees and creating bio-diverse areas along CALAX. The planting of trees will have a two-fold purpose: offsetting the company's carbon footprint and mitigating emissions produced by motor vehicles passing through CALAX.
With CALAX looking to have Subsection 4 open by next month, we may only be just a few weeks away before it's opened to motorists.
