Cadillac developing electric Escalade
All-electric Cadillac IQ to be revealed later this year

Yes, that headline you just read is correct. Aside from launching an electric version of the Silverado pickup and bringing back the Hummer as an EV, General Motors has announced that Cadillac will have an electric variant of the Escalade SUV.
Called the Cadillac IQ, it will be revealed later this year and promises the same commitment to craftsmanship, technology, and performance that has helped the SUV develop its reputation in the large luxury SUV segment.
For now, Cadillac has only revealed a single teaser image of the Escalade IQ badge. In addition, they mentioned that it will join the Lyriq and the upcoming Celestiq as the brand plans to build an all-electric portfolio.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Escalade IQ could come with General Motors' Ultium battery and motor technology. That means it will likely share some powertrain with the Silverado EV and the GMC Hummer EV. With that, we can expect the Cadillac EQ to produce over 700 PS and generate over 1,000 Nm of torque.
With no other details yet regarding the Cadillac Escalade IQ, all we can do for now is wait until the luxury automaker reveals more details or teaser images. Hopefully, they release more information soon.
