BYD, Honor forge partnership to drive AI-powered smart mobility
Their first collaboration between BYD and Honor began in 2023

Global AI device ecosystem company Honor has entered into a strategic partnership with BYD, the world’s leading new-energy vehicle manufacturer, to advance AI-driven intelligent mobility solutions. The collaboration will integrate Honor’s cutting-edge connectivity technology with BYD’s next-generation DiLink smart ecosystem, setting the stage for a new era of human-centric, AI-powered driving experiences.
The partnership was formalized in a signing ceremony attended by James Li, CEO of Honor, and Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD Group. Representing their respective companies, Fang Fei, Honor’s President of Products, and Yang Dongsheng, BYD’s Senior Vice President and President of the Automotive New Technology Research Institute, signed the agreement, marking a deeper alliance between the two industry leaders.

The partnership will focus on three key areas: core technology innovation, including AI agent integration and Bluetooth-based car key technology; channel ecosystem collaboration, maximizing interoperability between platforms; and joint communications and user engagement through co-marketing and shared launch events.
The Honor–BYD partnership first began in 2023 with smartphone NFC car keys, later expanding to in-vehicle fast charging in 2024. By 2025, the partnership deepened further with DENZA becoming the first brand to adopt Honor Car Connect, paving the way for broader BYD integration.
“Our partnership with BYD represents a shared vision for the AI era — one where technology enhances every journey,” said Honor CEO James Li. “Together, we aim to co-create seamless, intelligent mobility experiences that redefine smart living.”
Honor and BYD plan to unveil further collaborative innovations at the 2025 Honor Global Developers Conference on October 23.
