BYD extends helping hand to earthquake-affected Cebu communities
BYD and Ayala Foundation Inc. swiftly respond to help communities following the recent earthquake in Cebu

BYD Cars Philippines distributor ACMobility, BYD Philippines, and BYD Cebu swiftly sprang into action to help earthquake-stricken communities in Bogo City, San Remigio, Catmon, Daanbantayan, Medellin, Tabogon, and Tabuelan.
Also helping along is Ayala Foundation, Inc., which reinforced efforts by bringing its Brigadang Ayala assistance to the same areas, further embodying the spirit of malasakit for affected families in Cebu.

Joining forces with the BYD Cebu Owners Group, the team formed a convoy of 24 BYD vehicles, including the Sealion 6 DM-i, Sealion 5 DM-i, Shark 6 DMO, and Atto 3, to deliver critical relief goods such as bottled water, food, tents, blankets, medicines, and toiletries to affected communities.
In support of these efforts, BYD Cars Philippines and BYD Philippines extended monetary assistance to help sustain the relief mission and its volunteers on the ground. Utilizing the brand’s innovative Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, the units provided much-needed electricity on-site, enabling affected residents to charge their cellphones and gadgets to reconnect with their loved ones during this difficult time.

“We extend our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the families impacted by this calamity. We are steadfast in our commitment to go the extra mile in supporting our communities during these challenging times,” said Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines.
Through this joint effort, ACMobility, BYD Cebu, BYD Philippines, and AFI reaffirm their commitment to going beyond mobility, extending compassion, innovation, and solidarity to communities in need. By combining sustainable technology with a deep sense of malasakit, this partnership continues to demonstrate that progress is not only measured by vehicles on the road but also by the lives touched and strengthened in times of crisis.

“This joint effort reflects our belief that mobility is not just about moving people, but also about empowering communities in times of need. By combining resources with innovation, we aim to provide meaningful support to Filipinos,” shared Adam Hu, Country Head of BYD Philippines.
