BYD Cars PH sold almost 4,800 units in 2024
BYD corners 82% share for electrified vehicle market in PH

BYD has quickly established its place as the leader of electrified vehicles in the Philippine market.
ACMobility, the official distributor of BYD passenger vehicles in the country, has announced that they have sold a total of 4,780 units in 2024. While that number seems little compared to Toyota’s total vehicle sales, it should be known that BYD mainly sells new energy vehicles that comprise plug-in hybrids and BEVs - and it is in this segment where BYD has emerged as the country’s leading brand.
In the Philippine NEV market, BYD has posted a commanding 82% market share. The popular BYD Sealion 6 DM-i sold 2,669 units in 2024, making it the brand’s top-selling model with a 19% market share in the combined NEV and HEV segments.
Meanwhile, the 2,078 BEV units sold by BYD comprised of the Seagull, Dolphin, Atto 3, T3, Seal, Han, and Tang. With a 69% market share in the BEV segment, BYD also leads the country in battery-electric vehicles sold in 2024.
BYD’s impressive sales performance in 2024 has propelled them as the 11th best-selling automotive brand in the Philippines, and ranks just second behind MG when it comes to brands from China.
“We are beyond thrilled to share our performance in 2024, marking a pivotal year for BYD in the Philippines,” said Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines. “This achievement reflects the dedication of our team, the unwavering support of our dealer partners and suppliers, and most importantly, the trust of our valued customers. Together, we will continue driving the Philippines toward a smarter and greener future with innovative and accessible solutions.”
