BIMS 2026: Nissan launches all-new 2026 Kicks e-Power
All-new Nissan Kicks e-Power makes SE Asia debut at 2026 Bangkok International Motor Show

Nissan has put its name back in the conversation for buyers wanting an electrified crossover in the Southeast Asian region.

The Japanese manufacturer has debuted the all-new Kicks e-Power at the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show. While still using the same platform, the new Kicks e-Power is sporting a completely overhauled look both inside and outside, along with some new nifty features.

The cosmetic changes include a new front and rear fascia, along with a new 17-inch wheel design that gives it a fresh look. It mirrors most of the changes done to the Kicks, known in the Brazilian market as the Kait.

Inside, the Kicks e-Power gets redesigned air vents, new side door panels, a bigger touchscreen head unit with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, plus a new digital instrument cluster. It also gets power seats for the first time, which adds a layer of convenience for the passengers.

The ASEAN market Kicks e-Power retains the unique 1.2-liter three-cylinder unit that acts as a generator, charging the lithium-ion battery that powers an electric motor. Power outputs remain at 136 PS and 280 Nm of torque, providing plenty of power for its size along with excellent efficiency.

Intelligent driving features include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and a 360-degree around view monitor in its generous list of advanced safety suite.

Nissan also showcased a dressed-up version of the all-new Kicks called the Maximus. It features a wraparound kit, a two-tone paintjob, along with forged wheels wrapped in high-performance tires, highlighting the vehicle’s possibilities for customization.

Masao Tsutsumi, the outgoing president of Nissan Philippines, has already confirmed that the new Kicks e-Power will be introduced in the PH market in the coming months. This launch gives us a first look at what to expect once the model arrives in the country.
