BIMS 2026: GWM Ora 5 HEV revealed with 223 PS, up to 1,000 km of range
GWM Ora 5 makes regional debut at Bangkok International Motor Show

Great Wall Motors (GWM) held the regional debut of the ORA 5, a compact yet spacious SUV built for everyday practicality, showcasing its HEV and EV variants at this year’s Bangkok International Motor Show as part of its multi-powertrain strategy to suit diverse lifestyles and driving preferences.

With carefully balanced dimensions, 4,471 mm in length, 1,833 mm in width, 1,641 mm in height, and a 2,720 mm wheelbase, the ORA 5 promises enhanced cabin spaciousness and seating comfort, making it ideal for both city commutes and longer journeys.

Delivering improved maneuverability for a smooth and versatile drive on any road, the ORA 5 comes with 175 mm of ground clearance.

The ORA 5 hybrid variant combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 150 PS and 240 Nm of torque with a front-wheel-drive electric motor delivering 190 PS and 236 Nm, for a total system output of 223 PS. The combined torque of 476 Nm and responsive acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds make it one of the fastest electrified crossovers in the segment.
Fuel efficiency remains a key highlight, with an ECO Sticker rating of 4.3 L/100 km and a driving range exceeding 1,000 km thanks to its 55-liter fuel tank, making the ORA 5 HEV a practical choice for long-distance travel without frequent refueling stops.

For those seeking zero-emission mobility, the ORA 5 EV delivers 204 PS and 260 Nm, accelerates 0–100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, and reaches 170 km/h, with a 58.3 kWh battery offering 520 km range. It features a 6 kW V2L system, DC fast charging (30–80% in 20 minutes), and 6.6 kW AC charging for daily convenience.
With its combination of spacious design, advanced hybrid and electric powertrains, and practical everyday features, the GWM ORA 5 positions itself as a versatile choice for drivers seeking comfort, efficiency, and performance.
