Bentley promises 5 new EVs by 2030
Bentley announces plans to launch new 5 EVs in 5 years starting from 2025

Compared to other manufacturers, Bentley has a relatively small lineup. With the Mulsanne officially discontinued last 2020, the British luxury brand only has three models to choose from – the Continental GT, the Flying Spur, and the Bentayga. However, that will change very soon, and the Bentley lineup will expand even further.
Bentley has announced an acceleration of its Beyond100 strategy, which will transform the company in a relatively shorter time. According to the new Five-in-Five plan, the automaker will be launching five new electric vehicles by 2030, with the first one arriving in 2025.

Details about the five new Bentley models are almost non-existent. The company did say that all five will be exciting to drive and offer “effortless luxury”. Since the automaker does plan to build its final internal combustion engine by 2030, these upcoming EVs could serve as the future replacement for the existing Bentayga, Flying Spur, and Continental GT.

To prepare for the arrival of the new EVs, Bentley also announced a GBP 2.5 billion investment over the next ten years. The funding will be used for the development of EVs and even upgrade its manufacturing plant in Crewe, England where all Bentleys are built. The upgrades will also make the plant more environmentally friendly. Currently, the automaker claims the plant is already carbon-neutral thanks to its extensive use of solar arrays. Future plans include Bentley going carbon-neutral for its entire operations by 2030.

Even before the new EVs arrive, Bentley is already taking steps towards a greener future with its current lineup. The British marque’s current lineup already offers plug-in hybrid variants of the Bentayga SUV and the Flying Spur sedan. With that, we can also expect a PHEV variant of the Continental GT to arrive soon.
