Ayala officially launches Volkswagen in the Philippines
The people's car is back for the People of the Philippines

At the Ayala Tower One fountain area in Makati City, Ayala Corporation executives led by Fernando Zobel de Ayala and Volkwagen executives formally launched the Volkswagen brand to the Philippines, and will be led by Automotive Central Enterprise, Inc..

Volkswagen Philippines, led by ACE chairman and president Mr. JP Orbeta, will begin operations with a dealership at Bonifacio Global City, followed by a dealer in Cebu along with several more around the Metro Manila next year.
The VW brand line up will begin with the Jetta, Touran, Tiguan and Touareg. Next year, more VW models will follow including the 21st Century Beetle, Phaeton, among others.

Following the launch is a 2 day People's Car Celebration at the Greenbelt Park in Makati City.
The brand launch showcased the mission of Volkswagen's return to the country, to which Wei Ming Soh, Volkswagen AG's head of Greater China and Asean commercial operations, stated: "This time we have a clear mission and a sense of urgency. It's time to bring the people's car to the people of the Philippines."
