AutoIndustriya.com wins two awards at 22nd HFA
AutoIndustriya.com nominated in five categories at this year's Henry Ford Awards

The Henry Ford Awards is an annual event that recognizes the work of Philippine automotive journalists.
Members of the print, online, and broadcast motoring media submit their entries, which undergo an extensive two-phase judging process participated by a panel composed of distinguished educators of journalism and mass media studies, as well as seasoned professionals in the fields of marketing, public relations, digital publishing, and audio-visual production.
At last year's event, AutoIndustriya.com won the Best Technology Feature. But for this year, the automotive website was chosen as the winner in two categories.

AutoIndustriya.com's Editor-In-Chief Vince Pornelos was given the Best Automotive Road Safety Feature of the Year award. His winning story was “Dad: My First Driving Instructor”, paying tribute to the person that had the biggest influence on how he drives. Associate Editor Marcus De Guzman received the trophy on behalf of Vince Pornelos.

Meanwhile, AutoIndustriya.com's Executive Editor Eric Tipan won the Best Automotive Green Feature of the Year with his story titled “Hybrids or EVs: What’s the ‘greenest’ car for the PH?”, explaining which types of vehicles best fit the requirements considering the current state of Philippine motoring. Junior Editor Jamil Lacuna received the trophy on behalf of Eric Tipan.

Aside from the two wins, the automotive website also had multiple nominations in other categories. Creative Director Niko Villegas was nominated for the Automotive Photograph of the Year with his entry titled “Red Dawn”. His piece highlights the all-new Toyota GR 86 pictured at the Sacobia Bridge in Pampanga.
Junior Editor Jamil Lacuna was nominated for the Best Automotive Green Feature of the Year category with his story “Coding Exempt: How to ID hybrids and EVs for Traffic Enforcers”, explaining the identifying marks of EVs and hybrids that are exempt from number coding as per the EVIDA law. In the People Awards, Jamil was also nominated for Best Automotive Writer of the Year.
Lastly, AutoIndustriya.com was nominated in the Automotive Industry Feature of the Year, with the stories “Little Boost: Why automakers are going for small turbocharged engines” by Eric Tipan, and “The Problem with No Contact Apprehension” by Vince Pornelos.

AutoIndustriya.com would like to thank Ford Philippines for the recognition. And for our readers, subscribers, and followers, we will remain committed and driven to deliver the best online experience for automotive content.
