Aston Martin will reveal flagship DB11 successor on May 24

It's been seven years since Aston Martin unleashed the DB11 at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Serving as the replacement to the DB9, the twin-turbo V12-powered GT is the flagship car to own from the Gaydon-based manufacturer.

Then in February 2017, it officially made its way to the Philippines. And just like international versions, DB11 cranks out 608 PS with 700 Nm of torque and is coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It can go from 0 – 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 322 km/h.

Fast forward to 2023, and Aston Martin will be replacing the DB11 with something new. While the manufacturer has yet to officially name the DB11's successor, Aston Martin has already released the first teaser images and details about it.

Come May 24, 2023, Aston Martin will be unveiling the new generation of the DB bloodline. Final preparations are already being made and the all-new DB will carry the core values of high-performance and ultra-luxury. Once revealed, the all-new flagship GT will apparently be called the “DB12”.

Based on the teaser photos, it appears it will have a somewhat similar design to the outgoing DB11. Thanks to the wonders of photo manipulation, we were able to get a more detailed look. Like the outgoing generation, the all-new DB will have a muscular and chiseled body. Even the side profile almost looks similar, if a bit sleeker than the DB11. What's slightly different, however, are the new LED headlights.

If the exterior somehow looks similar to the DB11, the interior is a completely different story. While we have yet to see the entire dashboard, one of the teasers shown by Aston Martin reveals a redesigned center console. Not only does it have a new touchscreen infotainment system, but it also gets a new set of dials, buttons, and switches that give it a more modern touch. Even the engine start/stop button appears to be new.

Details about its powertrain are not yet available. But it's highly likely that the supposed DB12 will be available with an upgraded twin-turbo V8 sourced from Mercedes-AMG, as well as the more powerful 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12.

With the all-new Aston Martin DB still hiding in the shadows, we'll have to wait until next week for Aston Martin's big reveal. Hopefully, the automaker reveals more details ahead of its launch on May 24.
