Are we looking at Ferrari's first-ever SUV?
This might be Ferrari's answer to the Lamborghini Urus

It's no secret Ferrari is working on an SUV.
While the Prancing Horse has long avoided making one, its closest rival, Lamborghini, has offered an SUV since late 2017. Called the Urus, it’s now the brand's best-selling model, with the automaker already selling a record 16,000 models last December 2021.
With Lamborghini raking in big profits from the Urus, Ferrari is now gearing up to reveal its own high-performance SUV. But it seems an eager individual spoiled their upcoming surprise. Leaked via Instagram, this could be our first-ever look at the Ferrari Purosangue.
If the images are to be believed, the Purosangue features a headlight design that looks similar to the SF90’s. Also curious to see is the low-slung grille that features the signature Prancing Horse logo at the center. Also worth mentioning is the body cladding on the wheel arches, further confirming that this is likely Ferrari’s first SUV.

We also got to take a look at the rear quarters of the Purosangue. Unlike most Ferraris that are sleek and low-to-the-ground, this one is taller and features what looks to be a massive tailgate. It also gets a distinct pair of LED taillights, quad exhaust pipes, and additional body cladding on the rear bumper.
Powertrain details for the Ferrari Purosangue remain a mystery. Rumors suggest it will supposedly get a turbocharged engine paired to electric motors at launch. This leads us to believe it might get the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 plug-in hybrid from the 296 GTB. With it, the SUV could have a combined system output of 830 PS along with 740 Nm of torque.
There are also reports that it could be powered by the SF90’s twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, or the naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 derived from the 812 Superfast for a special edition version. When it comes to transmission options, the Purosangue will most likely get an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
With the supposed leaked images showing Ferrari’s first SUV ready for production, we might not have to wait long before the automaker officially reveals it.
