Arctic Trucks pumps up the Mitsubishi Montero Sport
Arctic Trucks unleashes the Montero Sport AT35

Planning to turn your Mitsubishi Montero Sport into the ultimate 4x4 vehicle that can take on any terrain? Arctic Trucks has just revealed a modified version of the SUV and it looks wicked.
This is the Montero Sport AT35 by Arctic Trucks, and it’s built to go anywhere it pleases. Not only is the SUV more capable to go over any terrain, but this particular Montero Sport also looks more menacing.

Much like other Arctic Trucks builds, this one comes with a new set of 17-inch tires wrapped in massive 315/70 all-terrain tires. This allows the SUV to go over dirt, mud, gravel, and even snow with ease. In order to make up for the additional width caused by the tires, Arctic Trucks installed their signature fender extensions which actually look like stock equipment based on their appearance.
Thanks to the upgraded suspension and tires, Arctic Trucks says the Montero Sport AT35’s ground clearance is now at 270mm (or 10.6 inches), a significant increase over the standard 218mm. It also has a better approach angle of 34.5-degrees (up from 30 degrees), and a 28.8-degree departure angle (up from 24.2 degrees).

Arctic Trucks did not mention the Montero Sport AT35’s increased water wading capability, but we’re pretty sure it’s higher than what the regular SUV has which is 700mm.
Under the hood, the Montero Sport AT35 continues to be powered by a 2.4-liter turbo-diesel inline-four with MIVEC. It makes 181 PS with 430 Nm of torque and is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission. In other markets like Russia where the AT35 is now available, the SUV can also come with a 3.0-liter V6 that pushes out 220 PS and 276 Nm of torque.

Looking to get one for yourself? That will be tough as Arctic Trucks has no official presence in the country. However, this build could provide some inspiration to those who plan to modify their own Montero Sport.
