ANCAP: 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado gets five stars for safety
Toyota Land Cruiser Prado achieves maximum stars in recent ANCAP safety test

The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado has been out in the Philippine market for quite a while, but those who are still in the queue can be assured that the SUV is one of the safest vehicles in the market today.
The Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) put the Land Cruiser Prado through a series of rigorous safety tests, and the SUV came out with flying colors. ANCAP awarded the LC Prado a maximum five-star rating after excelling in all four key assessment areas.
In the demanding frontal offset head-on crash test, the Land Cruiser Prado exhibited a Good level of protection to the majority of critical body regions of the driver and front passenger, with the exception of the driver’s lower leg and chest where protection was rated as Adequate and Marginal respectively. For the two child dummies seated in the second row, protection was Good and the Prado achieved maximum points.

The Prado is equipped with active collision avoidance features from its Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, capable of detecting other vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists, with Good performance recorded across the majority of on-track test scenarios.

Across the four key assessment areas, the Land Cruiser Prado scored 85% for Adult Occupant Protection, 89% for Child Occupant Protection, 84% for Vulnerable Road User Protection, and 82% for Safety Assist, respectively.
While the Land Cruiser Prado tested in Australia had a diesel engine, the results apply for both the gasoline and hybrid versions since they all share the same platform and chassis.
