All-new Toyota Innova will have a massive sunroof
Toyota gives us a peek inside the all-new Innova

We’ve already seen several teaser images of the all-new Toyota Innova. Not only will it supposedly go hybrid, but it will also reportedly switch from a rear-wheel drive (RWD) platform to a more passenger-friendly front-wheel drive (FWD) layout. Heck, we were even able to get a glimpse of the MPV’s new exterior when leaked photos made their way to the internet last week.
But if there’s one thing we have yet to see with the next-generation MPV, it’s the interior. Luckily, Toyota Indonesia has released yet another teaser image of the all-new MPV. This time, we get a glimpse of the Innova’s redesigned cabin.
Starting with the most obvious, the MPV will come with a massive panoramic sunroof that’s complemented by LED ambient lighting. It will also come with aircon vents on the side which is a clear departure from the current generation’s front-mounted ceiling vents.

Toyota has yet to show the Innova’s new dashboard and center console. But based on the teaser photo, it looks like it will have a free-standing touchscreen infotainment that’s similar to the ones found in the Avanza, Veloz, Raize, and the all-new Vios. There also appears to be a built-in dashcam although that could be exclusive only to its home market.
With the Innova set to have a more luxurious interior, it seems the supposed switch from RWD to FWD rings true. The use of a TNGA-based platform will allow Toyota to equip the Innova with more features and safety systems, as well as the fitment of a hybrid powertrain. There’s still no word yet on what hybrid engine will drive the electrified Innova although there are rumors going around it could get a 2.0-liter under the hood.
With Toyota still quiet on a possible date for the launch of the all-new Innova, all we can do for now is wait until the automaker reveals it in full or announces a date soon.
