All-new Subaru Crosstrek lands in Hong Kong, PH next?
Can we expect the next-generation Subaru Crosstrek to be revealed later this year in PH?

During the 2023 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), we expected Subaru distributor Motor Image Pilipinas (MIP) to reveal the all-new Crosstrek (formerly called the XV). Unfortunately, it wasn't able to make it in time so they instead launched the refreshed 2023 Evoltis.
While MIP missed the opportunity to launch the next-gen Crosstrek at MIAS 2023, we might not have to wait long for its eventual Philippine debut. That's because Motor Image has just revealed the 2023 Crosstrek in Hong Kong.

The all-new Crosstrek is available in two variants in Hong Kong, the 2.0-i-L and the 2.0i-S. Both come with the brand's intelligent EyeSight suite of driver aids but differ when it comes to exterior equipment. For starters, the entry-level 2.0i-L gets simpler headlights, smaller 17-inch alloy wheels, a gray-colored grille, and a manual driver's seat.

As for the 2.0i-S, the top-of-the-line version gets fancy LED headlights, bigger 18-inch alloy wheels, a gloss black grille, a power-adjustable seat, and a sunroof to let more light into the cabin.
Despite having two different exterior features, both variants come with an 11.6-inch tablet-inspired touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, as well as a host of USB Type-A and Type-C data/charging ports.

As mentioned earlier, both the 2.0i-L and 2..0i-S get the new EyeSight 4.0. The enhanced version now makes use of an additional mono camera to the stereoscopic setup – allowing a wider field of view to detect incoming dangers and automatically steer or stop the vehicle before an accident happens.

There's no word yet as to when the all-new Subaru Crosstrek will make its Philippine debut. However, an insider shared with us that it will supposedly happen around the middle of 2023. With that, we may not have to wait for a long time for the next-generation Crosstrek to be launched in the country.
