All-new DFSK E5 PHEV now in PH, starts at PHP 1.580M
DFSK Philippines wants in on the PHEV market with an E5 7-seater crossover

Plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) continue to become more popular in the country as these types of vehicles combine the best features of an electric vehicle (EV) and a hybrid (HEV). More importantly, drivers will not have to worry about range anxiety since PHEVs have an internal combustion engine (ICE) that can recharge the battery.
Today, a new brand joins the growing number of electrified vehicles that will offer a cleaner way to get around the metro as well as give motorists the ability to get around without always using the engine. Making its official debut in the Philippines is the all-new 2024 DFSK E5 PHEV. It's a midsize crossover SUV that can seat a total of 7 people and comes with plenty of amenities and in-car features.

Starting with its most important aspect, the E5 PHEV is powered by a 1.5L naturally-aspirated engine that is paired with an electric motor and a 17.52 kWh battery pack. It has a combined system output of 130 kW (or 175 PS) and a meaty 300 Nm of torque. With a full tank of gasoline and a fully charged battery, DFSK claims the E5 PHEV has a range of up to 1,150 km and an EV range of around 100 km. Power is sent to the front wheels via an e-CVT.

The system also benefits from regenerative braking which recharges the plug-in hybrid powertrain. However, it also does come with an onboard 6.6 kWh charger that can recharge the battery to full in around 4 hours. Need to power up a work site or your home during a blackout? The E5 PHEV also comes with a vehicle-to-load (V2L) system.

Size-wise, the DFSK E5 PHEV measures 4760mm long, 1865mm wide, 1710mm tall, and has a 2785mm wheelbase. Its exterior design features a unique grille that's complemented by a pair of eye-catching LED headlights and the brand's distinct logo that proudly sits on the center of the grille. Depending on the variant, the E5 can come with either 18-inch alloy wheels with 225/55 tires or larger 19-inch alloys wrapped in 235/50 tires. Last but not least, it has full-width wraparound LED taillights, a power tailgate, and a panoramic sunroof on high-grade models.

Inside, the DFSK E5 welcomes you into a high-tech and comfortable cabin. In front of the driver and front passenger are a pair of high-definition displays – one is the 7-inch instrument cluster while the other is the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

It also comes with satellite navigation, automatic climate control with an air purification system, power-adjustable front seats, rear A/C vents, front & rear center armrests, tan leather upholstery, faux wood trim, a wireless charging pad, a cooled center glovebox, and a 12-speaker sound system (6 speakers for lesser variants).

Standard safety features in the DFSK E5 PHEV include anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, a 360-degree panoramic camera system, and a host of airbags. Available only on the top-of-the-line version is a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) which include; a blind-spot monitoring system, lane-change assist, rear collision warning, rear-cross traffic alert, and door opening warning.

Pricing of the 2024 DFSK E5 PHEV is as follows:
E5 PHEV Deluxe – PHP 1,580,000
E5 PHEV Ultimate – PHP 1,880,000
