All-new Audi Q6 is bigger and posher than the Q7
China-market full-size Audi Q6 mixes German engineering and Eastern styling

Audi and SAIC Motors have unveiled the new Q6 SUV in China and have even opened pre-sale reservations for the newest SUV line of the German car maker. The full-size SUV was released both in Shanghai and Beijing simultaneously and interested buyers can make an initial deposit of 990 USD or 55,632 PHP for the vehicle via the SAIC Audi app on their smartphones.

Marked as Audi’s “flagship roadjet land Plane” the Q6 boasts of German engineering with elements of Chinese styling and is the third model under the SAIC and Audi partnership. This comes after the Q5 E-Tron and A7L vehicles.

The Q6 will come in four variants and will have two engine options. The four trims are the 40 TFSI Quattro cloud viewing type, 45 TFSI Quattro Qiyun, 50 TFSI Quattro cloud type, and the 50 TFSI Quattro Lingyun edition first release. Prices start at USD 74,000 or PHP 4.16 million for the base model and up to PHP 5.4 million for the higher-end trim models.
The first engine option is the four-cylinder EA888 2.0-liter turbocharged engine pumping out 262 to 295 PS and 400 to 500 Nm of torque. The second engine option will sport a six-cylinder EA390 2.5-liter turbo engine. The new Q6 can take you from 0 - 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. Both engine models will come with Audi’s Intelligent Quattro system as standard.

The SUV will measure 5099 mm long, 2014 mm wide, and 1784 mm tall. It will also have a wheelbase of 2980 millimeters and will come in a wide range of options with eight color choices, six different styles of wheels, and eleven interior themes to choose from. The SUV is built to seat six to seven passengers and will feature an all-leather interior with the multi-function steering wheel dressed in a unique Nappa leather.

The higher-end models will feature a triple-screen setup dashboard with a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. There is a 12.3-inch instrument panel, 10.1-inch MMI touch screen, and even a third 8.6 -inch display for extra information. There is also a heads-up display system for driving aid.

As this is a China release, we aren’t sure whether Audi will send this over our way but we would sure love to get our hands on this and review the very first model from this new line. We are also not sure if there will be an electric or hybrid version of this full-size behemoth.
