All-new 2025 MG ZS revealed with Hybrid+ powertrain
This is the all-new second-generation MG ZS B-SUV

After giving the public a glimpse of their latest B-SUV, MG has officially taken the covers off the next-generation 2025 ZS. Featuring a more dynamic look along with a restyled cabin, the ZS gets a more upscale appearance, new & improved technologies, as well as a new electrified powertrain.
Starting with the hardware aspect first, the 2025 MG ZS is powered by the brand’s new Hybrid+ powertrain. It consists of a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine that’s assisted by an electric motor and a 1.83 kWh battery pack. The engine alone makes a decent 136 PS but thanks to electrification, the 2025 ZS has a combined system output of 196 PS along with 250 Nm of torque.

Power is then sent to a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT) which allows the vehicle to sprint from 0 - 100 km/h in 8.7 seconds. More importantly, the ZS Hybrid+ has a combined average fuel consumption of nearly 24 km/L.
Other engines that will be available will likely include a naturally aspirated 1.5L engine and perhaps a turbocharged 1.5L inline-four that could be paired to a CVT derived from the MG One.
Style-wise, the all-new ZS features a more expressive front end that consists of a distinct front grille, eye-catching LED headlights & daytime running lights, and an aggressive front bumper with side air vents.

Towards the side, the MG ZS comes with 17-inch alloy wheels (18-inch alloys are optional) and a distinct upward kink towards the D-pillar and rear quarter windows which give the crossover a more stylish appearance. Last but not least, the 2025 ZS gets wraparound LED taillights, black body cladding, and what appear to be faux exhaust finishers integrated into the back bumper.

Hop inside and the all-new MG ZS gets a stylish yet minimalist cabin that looks to have been inspired by the MG One. It gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, faux metal accents on the aircon vents, and a unique-looking center console.
Other in-car amenities available include; satellite navigation, a six-speaker sound system, automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a power sunroof, leather seats, a 360-degree surround view camera, and a suite of intelligent driver aids.

With the MG ZS Hybrid+ set to become available in global markets later this year, we might have to wait until next year for the all-new crossover to make its way here. We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed MG Philippines offers it with the hybrid powertrain.
